The Solar Plexus Chakra

The solar plexus Sanskrit name is Manipura which means “Shining Gem” your solar plexus energy point is like having your own inner sun.  It’s the 3rd Chakra and it’s located above your belly button and below your sternum and it spins a little faster than the first and second chakras. This chakra is associated with self-identity or the ego.  It’s the seat of your personal power, personal growth, self-belief and your self-worth.  It’s also associated with your self-reliance.  This is where the phase gut instincts come from as when this chakra is balanced you trust your inner guidance without questioning and you don’t need anybody’s approval or validation when it comes to decision making you’ll just pursue your goals and aspirations without hesitation.  It’s the seed of your personal power but it doesn’t mean you have power over others.

If we don’t like or love ourselves, we won’t be able to make healthy decisions or find the willpower to move forward courageously.  This makes us vulnerable and attracts people that will manipulate.  People with weak Solar Plexus Chakras have low self-esteem and therefore will attract relationships and occupations that will reinforce or reflect this weakness. The main function of this Chakra is to provide actual momentum to move forward and realise your personal desires and intentions.  It plays a fundamental part in the development of your personal power and direction in life and the actions you will take to reach your goals which will have a great impact on social status and self-image. The key to a balanced Solar Plexus is finding a balance between your personal power and self-reliance and your relationship with others.
